Todd Hooge - President
Todd Hooge oversees the business operations and day-to-day management of the company. With over 20 years of experience managing tech-firms, Todd’s mixture of experience and entrepreneurialism add to his reputation as one of the quiet innovators in the search marketing sector.
Todd’s professional portfolio includes: computer programming, website design, web development and team management. He has successfully planned, produced and administrated several large international web properties, including the World Health Organization (WHO) Global Polio Eradication Initiative, and the United Nations (UN) funded site, “The Communication Initiative”.
Matthew Bowes - General Manager
My career In Online Marketing began in 2002, back in the days of Dog Pile and Overture Keyword Tools.
I have watched this industry go through SEO to PPC to SEM and RM for SMB’s. In the end it has always been about providing transparent, unbiased advice on what is working now and what will sustain your marketing initiatives in the future.
Simon Vreeswijk - Online Marketing Manager
Simon has been working with websites since 2002. Beginning as a designer before moving on to developing and programming and finally marketing by 2005. The realization that the business side was the most interesting and important part of this world prompted him to move full-time into a marketing role. His background knowledge of the other aspects of the industry provide him with strong technical organic SEO skills and the ability to not only find the problem but to implement the solution. Simon works closely with our enterprise clients and runs the technical services division at Metamend.
When away from the office Simon enjoys traveling, reading, playing guitar, skiing, sailing, mountain biking, and trail running with his Australian Shepherd.
Richard Clement - Senior Online Marketing Analyst
Richard is a highly experienced Internet Marketer, specializing in search engine optimization, website analytics, pay-per-click advertising and conversion rate optimization. A 20+ year technology veteran, Richard loves the measurability and science of online marketing and particularly the challenges presented by e-commerce websites.
Richard has also been a lecturer and regular speaker on all things related to online marketing.
Specialties: Internet marketing, search engine optimization (SEO), Google Analytics, email marketing, Google AdWords (PPC), conversion rate optimization (CRO), online marketing strategies, online sales.
Saul Garcia - Online Marketing Analyst
Saul was born in Mexico City and this was where he developed a passion and love for sports.
However, life had other plans and Saul moved to Canada and graduated from the University of Victoria. During this time Saul also took up rowing and competed both for the Mexican and Canadian national teams at several World Championships and Pan-American Games.
Saul’s other passion is marketing. Obtaining an MBA from the European University of Madrid specializing in sports marketing, and interning with world renowned soccer club Real Madrid in 2010.
Saul has worked in the development and delivery of online marketing strategies with the Victoria Highlanders, Corporate Games and the Tartan Group among others.
Hao Li - Online Marketing Analyst
Hao was born & raised in Northern China. He has since moved to Canada and calls beautiful Vancouver Island home. With a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics in his toolbox, he’s trained to pay attention to detail and read between the lines. This transfers over to websites and digital marketing. He’s able to see the hidden details with clients’ websites which may be preventing them from ranking higher in the search engines.
Hao is experienced in Site Audits and Keyword Research which are two areas of digital marketing he loves to sit down and work through.
When he’s not in the office, he enjoys exploring Vancouver Island with his dog named Homie.
Brooke Fargo -
When she joined Metamend, Brooke brought with her both experience as an analytical designer and a fun, creative disposition to match. She boasts a well-rounded background in the worlds of UI development and writing for web, along with a career that has always focused on creating a positive, user-friendly digital experience.
When not tackling complex design challenges, Brooke can be found exploring the great outdoors with her dog and camera in tow.
Greg Voakes -
Greg’s marketing background has ranged from SEO, Social Media, Pay-per-click advertising, to content marketing. Greg has helped companies like AOL, Village Voice Media, Global Post, and VentureBeat grow their audiences with content marketing strategies that focus on increasing organic traffic and audience retention.
At Metamend, Greg works with clients on strategies to ensure their sites are performing to the best of their ability in organic search, as well as getting hands-on with all things SEO.
Nick Mailhot -
Nick Mailhot was born and raised on Vancouver Island. He studied engineering and business at the University of Victoria. Nick brings an engineering and marketing background to his project management toolkit. His entrepreneurial mindset combined with years in large corporations makes him a valued asset in planning and execution of your marketing needs.
